Our Story

How we got started

When we got a couple of goats to keep our horses company we wondered if there was anything useful we could do with the milk they produced. From this idea we came to understand that goat milk soap can be very beneficial for the skin and especially so for those with sensitive skin or conditions such as eczema.

Making our first goat milk soap

We started our soap making journey with a simple kit for homemade soap and we soon found the soap we were making was far more luxurious than the shop bought soaps we had been used to. The butters, natural essential oils and of course the goat milk all combined to create a beautiful, silky smooth soap that was much gentler on the skin. We shared our creations with friends and family and their support and encouragement led us to set up Jolly Goat so that we could share our creations with you...

Handcrafted in Somerset

Since making our first goat milk soap a few years ago we have now established Jolly Goat so that we can make our small-batch, handcrafted, luxurious, triple butter goat milk soap available to everyone.

Our soaps are all handmade by us on our smallholding in Somerset. Our products are natural and scented using only high quality natural essential oils.
